An excellent choice
I hadn't really watched Dinnerladies before, just caught a couple of episodes on TV. Then I saw this online and bought it on a whim, as an impulse buy. What a find! I watched the whole of series 1 and half of series 2 in one night! I absolutely love it and have since purchased loads of other stuff by Victoria Wood. To me, this is her prime piece though. You find yourselves following the lives of the ladies (and gents) working in the canteen of a factory and you instantly click with the characters. I have now watched it about four times, all the way through, and every time I catch a different joke and pick something different up from it to the previous viewings. A fantastic gift this Christmas!!
