Ronnie (Miley Cyrus) is a young teenager with the average teenage troubles, on top of that she has a bad relationship with her father (Greg Kinnear) as he left the family and divorced Ronnie’s mother, Jonah (Bobby Coleman). Ronnie used to spend her days playing piano but due to her father leaving she quit playing.
Ronnie’s estranged father gets the chance to spend the summer with his daughter and plans to have fun with her, even if she is reluctant to do so. Soon father and daughter will reconnect through their common interest; music.
Based on the best-selling novel by Nicolas Sparks, The Last Song is a romantic tearjerker that is witty and pacing and will keep the viewer thoroughly entertained as well as evoking emotion.
