Eva (Tilda Swinton) puts her ambitions and career aside to give birth to Kevin. The relationship between mother and son is difficult from the very first years. We Need To Talk About Kevin (Blu Ray)

The film "We Need To Talk About Kevin", explores the plight of mother, Eva, as she reflects on how she could have possibly raised a seriously disturbed teenage son with her husband. Tilda Swinton delivers a fantastic performance, single handedly portraying the successful author's anguish at various life stages in raising her children. Her character struggles to balance her career with the demands of nurturing her children and devoting time to her family through various seem-less flashbacks. The audience feel Eva's tangible distress as a mother, unable to connect with her distant and aloof son, unlike her husband, who succeeds at least on a superficial level. There are no easy answers for Eva, in her look back on her son's early years, and as she struggles to come to terms with what her son has done, she tries to eek out an existence in a town with the almost absolute ostracism from her neighbours and townsfolk. I urge you to watch this compelling drama and suspenseful thriller and to admire the performance of Tilda Swinton at her finest.
