"Black Ice (Deluxe Edition)" is the special edition of the album by the iconic and world renowned Australian hard rock band AC/DC, which is their fourteenth international studio album, released in 2008.
The album was worked upon to achieve the more rock and roll sound that somewhat defined AC/DC since it fuelled the vast majority of their earlier works, as the two albums prior to this one ("Ballbreaker" and "Stiff Upper Lip") had been more blues-based. In this record, their aim was to recapture the style of song writing that had hooks and was catchy, as well as allowing more soulful styles of singing to lay across the more melodic music.
Featured on the album are the brilliant singles "Rock 'n' Roll Train", "Big Jack" and "Anything Goes". This special edition of the album comes in an embossed sleeve, and also includes a 30 page booklet containing illustrations, photographs from live shows, lyrics and more. (Cat Emerson)
