Archie Bell & The Drells - Dance Your Troubles CD

Originally from Texas, Archie Bell & The Drells hit # 1 with their first single recorded for Atlantic in 1968, the gold-selling
"Tighten Up". They followed this many other hits for Atlantic, including "I Can’t Stop Dancing" and "There’s Gonna Be
A Showdown".
In 1975 they signed to Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff’s Philadelphia International subsidiary label TSOP ("The Sound
Of Philadelphia") and recorded this R&B Top 10 album. The first two singles taken from it, "I Could Dance All Night"
and "The Soul City Walk" charted, but the third single "Let’s Groove" provided them with their biggest hit since
"Tighten Up".
This release is the first time that this classic album has been issued on CD and the booklet features full annotation by
PIR authority Tony Rounce.
