"Nightmare" is the fifth studio album release from California metal outfit Avengened Sevenfold. The record is the last to feature drummer James "The Rev" Sullivan, after his sudden death in 2009.
The full drum tracking was completed by Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater and a few vocal lines remain as a haunting reminder of the talented sticksman. Although the band deny that "Nightmare" is a concept album, it is heavily associated with the memory of "The Rev", featuring songs penned by him such as "Fiction".
