Formed in 1978 Echo & The Bunnymen were a band that has become synonymous with the post-punk sound that dominated the airwaves in the mid 1980's. "Crystal Days 1979 – 1999" is an extensive collection spanning 71 tracks and 4 CD's that chart the cream of the bands output from hits like "Pictures on My Wall" (Crocodiles), "A Promise" (Heaven Up Here), "The Cutter" (Porcupine) along with many more well known classics. In addition to this the collection features 17 previously unissued tracks drawn from a variety of sources that range from concerts to BBC Sessions. In addition to the music the collection comes complete with an illuminating 64 page book containing a detailed recording of the bands history featuring the input from both Ian McCulloch and Will Sergeant and perhaps most interesting of all the package features a number of never before seen photographs.
