“Helvetios” is the feverishly anticipated fifth studio album by the Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie, and is also their first concept album to date. This album follows on from the fourth studio album “Everything Remains (As It Never Was)”, which was released in 2010.
Eluveitie have combined both the past and the present of their musical and lyrical heritage in order to make themselves into an innovative, interesting, and severely creative group. With the lyrics often in the extinct language of Gaulish as well as English, and the instruments used being both traditional and contemporary, it's safe to say they have broke the mould of any band that has come before them.
The lead single for the album “Helvetios” is the track “Havoc”, which has perfectly blended traditional violin with the heaviest guitar shredding and riffs that Eluveitie can muster, alongside vicious throat ripping vocals and drum beats. “Helvetios” is a brilliant album that any Eluveitie fans, both new and old, will enjoy, as these creative musical masters produce pure folk metal gold once more.(Cat Emerson)
