“Ceremonials” sees Welch bringing in more soul genre elements, moving away from the more indie sound of her debut album “Lungs”. Welch's voice is once again outstanding when it comes to talent and vocal range, and her lyrics have become even more intelligent and beautiful. Each song swells with wonderful, big melodies, and each is a joy to listen to.
This album features the amazing singles “What The Water Gave Me”, “Shake It Out”, and “No Light, No Light”. All of these songs are both brilliant and powerful in their own musical right, and provide excellent teasers as to what fans can expect from this incredible album. (Cat Emerson)
