British electronic music duo Goldfrapp were formed in 1999 and throughout subsequent years they have built a reputation for their daring experimentation using disciples of all that is in the spirit of the avant-garde. "The Singles" is a collection that spans the entirety of their career, drawing from their five acclaimed studio albums from 2000's "Felt Mountain" to 2010's "Head First" which includes tracks such as "Happiness", "Strict Machine", "Ooh La La", "A&E", and "Rocket". In addition to this is the inclusion of two entirely new songs written specifically for this release: "Yellow Halo" with its synth-pop beat and the new wave inspired "Melancholy Sky". (Adam Bibby)
