Jethro Tull formed in 1967 and in one form or another have remained active figures in progressive rock, producing 21 studio albums to date and selling over 60 million records in the decades since their formation. The explanation for this exceptional popularity can be largely attributed to the bands wide ranging scope both in terms of subject matter and style.
"Aqualung" was originally released in 1971 the central theme of which is the relationship between religion and God and has since been considered by many to be their strongest work, something that it's position as Jethro Tull's best selling album seems to confirm this.
This collector's edition contains the stereo mix of the original album, as well as extra bonus recordings from the years 1970 and 1971. This edition also includes a DVD and Blu-Ray versions of the album, with the addition of four bonus tracks, as well as an LP and vinyl record. If that's not enough for you die hard Jethro Tull fans, there is also a book of notes by the metal writer enthusiast Dom Lawson, as well as previously unreleased interviews, rare photos, album lyrics, and much, much more.
