    Description

    Release Date: 20 February 2012

'Mr. M (CD and DVD)' is the double disc version of the eleventh studio album by the critically acclaimed American alternative country music group Lambchop, formerly named Posterchild. Known as much for their band line-up changes almost as much as they are known for their music, this group revolves around the main brains behind this musical outfit; the front man Kurt Wagner.

Amply straddling the boundaries between various genres, Lambchop's endeavour 'Mr. M' encapsulates the signature sound that they have strived so hard to create, and call their own. Including musical influences of soul, lounge music, and even post rock, this record is essentially defined by the lyrical skills of Kurt Wagner, whose song writing talents stand out above all else.

The song 'Gone Tomorrow' is the lead single, and a brilliant teaser as to what fans can expect from this album. The track has simple, understated melodies that are primarily based upon acoustic guitar and soft, undulated piano, combined with distinctive gravelly yet dulcet vocals, and strings. Melancholy and upbeat, 'Gone Tomorrow' is a beautiful track, the melodies and lyrics of which will light a fire in your soul. The second disc of this release is a DVD that contains bonus material, including five tracks captured live from the Slang20 Festival at Berlin's Admiralspalast in 2010, as well as a track by track interview with Kurt Wagner, the brains himself.
