Louis Armstrong was an ultimate legend of jazz. It can truly be said that he revolutionized the genre (and arguably music in a wider sense) through his popularisation of solos in the twenties, which went against the conventions of group based improvisation. Armstrong was also a key proponent of ‘scat singing’ with his 1926 single "Heebie Jeebies", doing much to establish the style within jazz.

"The Best of Louis Armstrong" is a compilation of this man's extraordinary work that includes tracks such as the quirky "April in Paris", soothing "We Have All the Time in the World", swinging "Mack the Knife", and the legendary Christmas classic "What a Wonderful World", along with a great deal more across the 41 tracks within this superb 2CD collection.
