'National Treasures' is the new three disc release (two CDs and one DVD) from iconic welsh outfit, Manic Street Preachers, and gathers 38 sublime tracks from a rich vein of conventional classics. With an illustrious career spanning over two and a half decades, the group have enjoyed great critical and commercial success, respectively. Achieving eight top ten albums and fifteen top ten singles, with three number ones (the 'This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours' album, and the singles 'If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next' and 'The Masses Against the Classes') and an absurd amount of awards for their efforts, the Manics are a mainstream, as well as being a cult, hit.

To coincide with this release, the Manics are including their brand new single 'This is the Day', a cover of the 1983 The The track off the synth-noir classic album 'Soul Mining'. Said to be fans of the group, the Manics, in typical form, add their own twist and distinction to the track whilst echoing the original in their own way.

'National Treasures' offers a range of the band's works through the years. From more modern-day tracks such as 'You Stole The Sun From My Heart ', the huge 'A Design For Life', and of course 'Your Love Alone Is Not Enough', to vintage releases like 'Motown Junk' and 'You Love Us', this compilation has it all. The DVD that is also included features all 38 music videos and some bonus video content.
