Selling over 13 million copies worldwide and reaching Platinum certification 6 times in the US and 5 times in Canada, Master of Puppets is considered one of the most significant metal albums ever from head-bangers all over the world.

By the time Metallica had entered the studio in 1985 to begin recording Master of Puppets, they had already achieved a superior status in the world of Rock and were slowly becoming one of the biggest Rock acts on the planet.

With Master of Puppets, Metallica not only stayed true to their Thrash roots but also broke free from their speedy approach and showed off their slower, more aggressive side with tracks such as ‘The Thing That Should Not Be’, ‘Welcome Home (Sanitarium)’ and ‘Lepper Messiah’.
