"Glee: The Music, Volume 7" is the seventh volume of a series of compilation albums that feature songs performed in the hit American television series Glee, and this record is compiled from the songs sung throughout the third series of the program.

The show revolves around the lives of misfit high school teenagers who join together in their school Glee club. The type of program is the product of a crossover of the genres musical, comedy and drama, as the teens and their teachers have to deal with very real life problems, making it enjoyable for all ages.

The fifteen tracks on this album are the singers' brilliant renditions of popular chart songs from the time period when the show was aired, as well as classic pop hits and songs from Broadway musicals, spanning a wide variety of genres and song types. This is displayed in their performances of songs such as "You Can't Stop The Beat" from the iconic musical Hairspray, "Run The World (Girls)" originally sang by the legendary American singer Beyoncé, compared and contrasted to "It's Not Unusual" by the world renowned Welsh singer Tom Jones.
