Slipknot defined the year of 1999 for nu metal with their debut self-titled album and the release of their single “Wait and Bleed”. This re-release 10th year anniversary edition holds bonus tracks including the controversial and highly anticipated “Purity”. The lyrical content in this track became a problem due to the chilling fictional story it tells that in fact turned out to be true. Unaware of this, singer-songwriter Corey Taylor had no choice but to leave it behind until this re-release. Other various bonus tracks include the demos 'Get This' and 'Despise'.
