    Description

    Release Date: 24 October 2011

"Dreamer In Concert" is the amazing live album by Grammy nominated American Jazz vocalist Stacey Kent, recorded at La Cigale in Paris. Kent, who resides in London, is worldly renowned for her beautiful voice that trembles with classic jazz and this album is the perfect way to lose yourself in a world of sophistication, with the crowd adding that extra bit of atmosphere.

The record opens with a track that fully exposes the fluidity and tone of Kent's voice, which entwines with soft guitar and saxophone, with subsequent tracks following suit. The recording covers songs from a variety of back catalogue albums, including the French-influenced 2007 release "Breakfast on the Morning Tram" which features tracks such as "Ces Petits Riens" and "Samba Saravah".

This album would be perfect for fans of the lady herself who would like to experience her subtly strong stage presence through the music for the first time, or once again. For those of you that have not come across this artist before, you should certainly have a listen if you are fans of iconic jazz musicians such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Armstrong. (Justine Dench)
