Release Date: 26 September 2005
Introducing The Band was filmed in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Paris and Amsterdam and includes revealing backstage footage along with the backdrop films in full and runs to almost two hours in total.
Originally released in 199,5 Introducing The Band captures the band at a pivotal point in their career - with the then unknown 17 year schoolboy Richard Oakes boldly stepping into the shoes of their recently departed original guitarist - and the stellar success of next album Coming Up still a long way off.
Unsurprisingly then, the furious performances are of a band with everything to play for. Visually too, the tour was one of the band's most ambitious with the inclusion of specially commissioned backdrop films provided by the late Derek Jarman's production team, creating a rich and often gorgeous multimedia experience.
