"Bestival Live 2011" is the double disc live album by the legendary English alternative rock band The Cure, and is their first release since their 2008 "4:13 Dream" album.
This record captures The Cure performing their live set at the four day long music festival at the Isle Of Wight, titled "Bestival", which was the only UK they played at in 2011, in front of 50, 000 fans. At the request of Robert Smith himself, all proceeds from this album go directly to the independant Isle Of Wight Youth Trust charity, which offers counselling, advice, etc. to people under 25 living in the Isle Of Wight.
Within this set, The Cure perform songs which span the entire length of their musical career, from their biggest hits to fan favourites and some of their back catalogue. Featured on this release are songs which have never previously been available on any official live album by The Cure, such as "Boys Don't Cry", "The Only One", "The Hungry Ghost", "Grinding Halt", and many more.
"Bestival Live 2011" would make any Cure fan's collection complete, as this legend of an album covers the breadth of all their fantastic songs, as well as ones fans could never before get their hands on. The Cure perfection. (Cat Emerson)
