Rockabilly - the first music played by teenagers for teenagers - swept America in the 1950s. RCA signed Elvis Presley, and every company sought their own Rockabilly artist. Two decades after it's emergence, a new generation rediscovered the genre. The new wave made its way to the UK and the sound of Teenage Rockabilly was played by bands including Restless, and The Deltas, and taken into the charts by The Jets and The Polecats. "Rockabilly Shakedown" explores the scene in Britain in the 1980s & 90's with live performances from some of the genre's favourite names, including a UK appearance from the legendary Ray Campi and some of the most notable British bands - The Jets, The Deltas and Restless all emerged in the 80's and have continued to delight audiences to the present day.
