"Zero 7" are one of the key ambient electronic artists of this century delivering a perfectly chilled atmosphere with every album they release. "Yeah Ghost" is an output of the duo (Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker) being more experimental with their work. The album holds folky attributes as evident with the track "Pop Art Blue" (featuring Martha Tilston), as well as introducing more exacerbated beats and rhythms ("Mr McGee" and "Medicine Man" both featuring Eska Mtungwazi) that have been compared with fellow beat pop masters that differ from their usual demeanour. This entire album is a mixed bag, but shouldn’t put off the usual Z7 fan...think of it as the storm within the calm, might ruffles a few feathers but may also make a nice change.
