A Place In The Sun - 1983 Tour De Corse DVD

During the 1970s and '80s many memorable rallysport events were captured on film for the Castrol archives. Now these fantastic visual records enable us to wind back the years and relive some rarely seen action from a great era.

'A Place in the Sun' recalls the memorable clash between Audi and Lancia on Corsica's notorious tarmac in the 1983 Tour de Corse. Mikkola, Alen, Andruet and Mouton slug it out at the front, while superb driving from Pond in a relatively low-budget Nissan gives him a steadily improving place in the sun. Slow motion and in-car filming combine with fine special effects to make this film worth watching time and again.

The second feature, 'The Professionals', compares the fortunes of Jody Scheckter and the Wolf Formula One team at the British Grand Prix with those of the Ford Rally team at the 1978 Rally of 1000 Lakes in Finland. All of the highlights from these two exciting branches of motorsport are included along with comments from team managers, drivers and spectators at the track.
