    Description

    Release Date: 01 October 2007

Ealing studios' output from the 1940s and 1950s helped define what was arguably the golden age for British cinema. Against The Wind, released in 1948, comes from this legendary studio.

Starring Robert Beatty, Jack Warner and Simone Signoret, it is the story of a diverse group of people from very different backgrounds, who were brought together in one of the strangest enterprises of the war.

Sabotage was their job; sabotage organised from London in the form of macabre practical jokes as ingenious as they were injurious to the enemy. The work was overclouded with the constant fear of discovery by the Nazis - and what horror that would bring.
