His friends, Harry and Frank, steal his corpse and journey across Europe in Harry’s black cab. Along the way they pick up an attractive hitchhiker, Vicki, who discovers that Harry has always believed that Frank was on the point of deserting when the Russians arrived, while Frank is still traumatised by the death of a young German refugee.
