Pop sensations Alvin, Simon and Theodore end up in the care of Dave Seville's twenty-something nephew Toby (Levi). The boys must put aside music superstardom to return to school, and are tasked with saving the school's music program by winning the $25,000 prize in a battle of the bands. But the Chipmunks unexpectedly meet their match in three singing chipmunks known as The Chipettes - Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette. Romantic and musical sparks are ignited when the Chipmunks and Chipettes square off.

Furry and Fun
Like most movies, it is very rare to find a sequel that tops the first movie. And sadly, this is not one of those rarities. It's not bad by all means, but it just can't reach the heights of the very first one. The storyline follows along like most sequels, so it is very predictable, now throwing is female chipmunks. This movie is geared towards children and performs quite well in that instance. Both my children aged 3 and 5 managed to stay glued to it for its full length and then wanted to watch it again. So for children it is a winner for adults, you may find it a little annoying, especially if you enjoyed the first one.
