The first starring vehicle for Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis finds the pair as new recruits into the American army. Martin as 1st Sgt Vic Puccinelli and Lewis as Private First Class Alvin Korwin. Their characters are as far removed as their ranks. Puccinelli is a self-assured Romeo whilst Korwin can't get a thing right, including operating a Coke machine. Despite this, Puccinelli enlists Korwin's help when has some girl trouble.
