Looking forward to bier kellers, frauleins, high wages and no taxes, Dennis (Time Healy), Neville (Kevin Whately) and Oz (Jimmy Nail) leave Newcastle for work on a building site in Dusseldorf, meeting up with fellow ex-pats Wayne (Gary Holton), Bowder (Pat Roach), Barry (Tiomothy Spall) and Moxey (Christopher Fairbank).
Episode 7. Private Lives; Dennis enjoys romance with Dagmar, the site secretary, but Wayne and Barry have less gentlemanly intentions for their night on their pull.
Episode 8. The Fugitive; The lads meet a mysterious British stranger while out on a country fishing trip but he turns out to have a dangerous secret.
Episode 9. The Affair; McGowan (Michael Elphick) is an unwelcome addition to the site personnel - violent, anti-social and surly. The lads plot to get rid of him for good.
