North West 200 1956
The North West 200 races, held on closed public roads around Portrush in Ulster, has always attracted first-rate competitors. The 1956 event saw riders Bob McIntyre, Eric Hinton, Alastair King and Sammy Miller cover 200 miles at nearly 1000mph, proving both individual and mechanical performance and endurance at the start of this historic racing season.
