"An hilarious car journey.. engaging, funny and downright honest, The Daytrippers is a rare treat" - FHM
One crisp Thanksgiving morning Eliza finds a letter - a love poem - to her husband from a mysterious "Sandy". Unable to digest its implications alone, she drives out to Long Island to discuss it with her family.
There, her overbearing mother, her laconic father, her sardonic sister Jo and Jo's Kafka-reading boyfriend, Carl, pile into the family station wagon and drive to Manhattan to confront the possibly philandering Louis (Stanley Tucci).
The result is an hilarious, edgy but sweetly comic road movie, a small-scale essay on family interactions that bristles with the best in US indie talent and crackles with wit and charm.
