Release Date:
09 January 2006
Young loner, Dick, lives in the poor US mining town of Estherslope. Happening upon a small antique handgun, Dick finds himself strangely drawn to it, despite a deep felt objection to what it represents. Alienated from much of the town and resistant to working the mines like his father, he convinces a group of similar outcasts to join him in a secret club he names "The Dandies". A club based on the conflicting ideals of pacifism and guns, their ultimate belief is the most important Dandy rule of all: 'never draw your weapon'.
When a new, volatile member begins to unravel the tight-knit camaraderie of the group, they find themselves inexorably drawn into a startling and dramatic predicament involving the local law enforcement. As any last hope to resolve the situation fades, they realise the terrible inevitability that rules are made to be broken...
