Based on the book Defiance: The Bielski Partisans by Nechama Tec, Defiance revolves around three Jewish Brothers, Tuvia (Daniel Craig), Zus (Liev Schreiber) and Asael Bielski (Jamie Bell), who live in Nazi occupieed Poland. The Bielski brothers manage to escape into the Belarussian forest where they unite with Russian resistance fighters. The group endeavour to build a village inside the forest in order to protect themselves and others in danger.
