It’s Christmas in Georgia, USA and Raymond Cane (Andrew McCarthy) has no home. It’s Christmas in Gloucestershire and the village church is being sold. A family inheritance brings Raymond to England. A beautiful woman, Rachel (Louise Lombard), buried treasure, a cherub called Diggity (Max Dolbey), being buried alive and an angel keep him there. After inheriting the village church and nearly selling it to the local scrooge, Mr Slee (Bill Treacher), Raymond must work out who is telling the truth, how to out fox the taxman and put a little time aside to see his own faults and fall in love. When there is treasure involved people will stop at nothing to lay their hands on it, but it’s Christmas and that must count for something. Some treasures are worth waiting for.
