A much-loved success throughout its three-year run on ITV, Follyfoot was based on an idea by novelist Monica Dickens. Complemented by one of the catchiest theme tunes ever recorded, this enchanting series starred Gillian Blake, Steve Hodson and Christian Rodska as the trio of workers at a retirement home for old or unwanted horses. Adapted by Francis Stevens, the episodes were directed by, among others, Michael Apted (7 Up), Jack Cardiff (Sons and Lovers) and Peter Hammond (The Avengers).
While Steve is still searching for his mother in Liverpool, Dora tries to find the owner of a wandering horse. She misses Steve terribly, but will he return to Follyfoot?
