G.I. Samuari DVD

In a time-travelling action extravaganza, Sonny Chiba (The Street Fighter, Kill Bill) is Yoshaiaki Iba, commander of a squadron mysteriously transported 400 years back in time to feudal Japan, where Samurai warlords rule the land.

Forming an alliance with a Samurai, Kagetora, who yearns to be the next Shogun, Iba and his men become embroiled in a brutal and bloody conflict. But their modern weaponry provide a distinct advantage over the thousands of Samurai warriors who ride out to battle on horseback.

Combing time travel with ferocious action scenes and a strong anti-war message, director Mitsumasa Saito (Black Magic Wars) brings a graphic intensity to the combat, starkly contrasting the sheer power of modern weaponry with the swords, spears and arrows of the Samurai.

Previously released asTimeslip, the DVD presents the film with over thirty minutes of additional footage.
