Home Front Britain is a showcase six-part documentary series produced by Discovery Channel in association with the British Film Institute.  It tells the story of World War II on the Home Front through a rare collection of Ministry of Information wartime films.  Presented by the much loved actor Jim Carter (Red Ridings, Cranford, Shakespeare in Love); he takes the viewer through each film whilst providing historical context, anecdotes and wartime information.  In addition, Jim travels to some of the famous British landmarks which featured in these films and which became synonymous with the Home Front war effort.
