British maverick auteur Mike Figgis directs a star-studded cast (including Salma Hayek, David Schwimmer and Lucy Liu) in the striking and experimental ‘Hotel’. A film crew who gather at an Art Deco hotel staffed by cannibals to make a movie based on the Jacobean revenge tragedy ‘The Duchess of Malfi’, in strict accordance to the Dogme style of film-making. They in turn are being filmed by a documentary crew. When an attempted assassination on the director leaves him in a coma within which he can see and hear everything, he is powerless to stop as his producer takes over the reigns of the project.
