The story of INSAAF is about a traditional married Indian woman who is not only raped by a man, but is also the law and society itself!
IAS officer Prasad gets posted to a city in Northern India where he settles with his wife Kunti. Kunti becomes the object of lust for Bunty - Son of minister Rameshwari Verma. Finding an opportunity, Bunty rapes Kunti. Husband Prasad runs from Pillar-to-Post seeking justice but only in vain. Finally out of frustration, he commits suicide. The nation is stunned by the shocking news of 'the rape and the suicide'. Suspecting the logistics of the case, the Union Home Minister appoints a high level CBO team to investigate.
Mr. Abhimanyu Singh, an IPS Officer, a man of proven integrity is assigned the task. On his mission, he learns that 'the rape case was never registered at all' and the rapist is roaming scot-free while Kunti is bearing stigma and indifference from the society.
Abhimanyu stakes his life and career and along with his ladylove Reena, an investigating journalist, he nabs Bunty-the culprit. The judiciary comes into action. But alas, it's 'the rape of trial than the trial of rape'! The court exonerates Abhimanyu Singh for lack of evidence. As for Bunty, he saves himself from the law with his alliances with the much influential political figures.
Finally S.O. Abhimanyu Singh comes out with the only resort. He and Reena, instill strength and confidence, in Kunti to face life and fight for justice. In a rage of fire, Kunti rises like a phoenix from ashes! The civil society wakes up to captures the rapist. The jostling heated commotion follows. And lastly Kunti makes her memorable tryst with 'INSAAF' the justice!
