    Death Is Now My Neighbour
    Morse and Lewis are drawn to a modern estate in an old Oxfordshire village when a young physiotherapist, Rachel James, is short dead. They are called out again just 24 hours later when another resident is shot and killed by the same gun.
    The Wench Is Dead
    In June 1859 the body of a young married woman was found by the Oxford Canal. In the present day, whilst recovering from an operation, Morse becomes engrossed in a book on the murder. Morse becomes convinced that the wrong men were convicted and goes about proving it.
