    This box set contains all seven series of the television show Monarch Of The Glen, a beautifully depicted program which is both touching and holding of comedic value.
    The program is inspired by Compton Mackenzie's Highland Novels, and tells the story of trying to keep the Scottish Glenbogle castle and estate afloat and get it out of debt, for the first five series starring Alastair Mackenzie as Laird Archie MacDonald trying to take on that task, and for the last two series starring Lloyd Owen as Laird Paul Bowman-MacDonald following in his footsteps.
