Filmed largely on or near the actual terrain where, some 33 centuries ago, the Children of Israel were led by Moses on their legendary forty-year journey to the Promised Land, this sex-part series was produced by Vincenzo Labella (the Emmy-nominated producer of Jesus of Nazareth) and directed by Gianfranco De Bosie (the award-winning director of Tosca and Carmen).
Told in strong, factual terms from a screenplay by Anthony Burgess (A Clockwork Orange) and the Oscar-nominated Vittorio Bonicelli, Moses the Lawgiver also stars Anthony Quayle (Strange Report), Ingrid Thulin (Puccini), Irene Papas (The Guns of Navarone) and Aharon Ipale (Alias). The gorgeous soundtrack is by the multiple award-winning composer Ennio Morricone (The Mission).
