This six part series is a BBC adaptation of Jane Austen's iconic novel Pride And Prejudice, starring Colin Firth as the elusive Mr Darcy and Jennifer Ehle as the obstinate Elizabeth Bennett. The story goes as Elizabeth's mother is determined to marry her off to the proud Mr Darcy, who considers Elizabeth to be beneath him, and who in turn rejects his advances after he insults her at a dance.
