SHERLOCK HOLMES FACES DEATH (1943):
In a tale based on The Musgrave Ritual by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Watson calls on Holmes for help when a convalescent home becomes the site of several sinister murders. The master detective arrives, but the long list of suspects include the home's owners, staff and patients. A clock strikes thirteen and a deadly game of chess ensues in this excellent addition to the series.
SHERLOCK HOLMES IN WASHINGTON (1943):
When a British secret agent carrying a confidential document is kidnapped en route to Washington. Holmes is called on by the Home Office to investigate before the document fall into the wrong hands. Holmes and Watson travel to America, but a number of international spies (including one played by Henry Daniel, who later re-surfaces as professor Moriarty in The Woman in Green) are also after the same document.
