Pop Webster once basked in the limelight as silent movie star Bronco Billy, but now he works as a security guard at Paramount Pictures. The only thing is his son, a sailor in the U.S navy, has been lead to believe he's a high-ranking movie executive. To keep up the illusion, Pop gets roped into putting on a show for the Navy. Luckily he's enlisted the help of Bob Hope and his faithful buddy Bing Crosby.
