    Description

    Release Date: 10 October 2005

    Includes the following films:

    An Affair To Remember
In this poignant and humorous love story nominated for four Academy Awards, Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr meet on an ocean liner and fall deeply in love. Though each is engaged to someone else, they agree to meet six months later at the Empire State Building if they still feel the same way about each other. But a tragic accident prevents their rendezvous and the lovers' future takes an emotional and uncertain turn.

    Three Coins In The Fountain
In this charming comedy, three American roommates working in Italy wish for the man of their dreams after throwing coins into Rome's magnificent Trevi Fountain. A secretary at a government agency (Dorothy McGuire) sets out to win the heart of her smooth-talking employer (Clifton Webb), while her co-worker (Jean Peters) defies office regulations by romancing an Italian (Rossano Brazzi) who works at the agency. Finally, office newcomer Maggie McNamara meets a real Italian Prince Charming (Louis Jourdan) and falls madly in love. Now the only thing the three ladies need to do is seal their fate. Witty dialogue, stunning scenery and the film's legendary Sammy Cahn/Julie Styne title song are part of this ingenious and funny entertainment.

    Anastasia
The world will never know if the real Russian princess Anastasia met her death at the hands of the Russian rebels, or in fact, she lived on. Based on fact, this story is set against the mystery surrounding this elusive puzzle. Ingrid Bergman portrays the destitute woman who remarkably resembles the true Princess Anastasia. She is chosen by two Russian courtiers to masquerade as the princess in order to gain ten million pounds. Meeting scepticism initially from the family, Anastasia wins her way into the hearts of the family and film lovers alike.

    Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing
Here is one of the screen's most famous and beautiful love stories. Set in Hong Kong at the time of the Korean War, it tells the story of an American war correspondent (William Holden) and his love for a beautiful Eurasian doctor (Jennifer Jones). As their love grows, problems arise to mar their happiness. He has a wife at home, and she meets with disapproval from her family and friends - and fate is waiting to take a hand in their tangled affair. All the exotic splendours of Hong Kong are brilliantly captured by Leon Chamroy's beautiful photography, and the film's Oscar winning-score and title song are among the finest ever written for the screen.

The Inn Of The Sixth Happiness
Based on the true life story of Gladys Aylward, a modern-day saint whose unquenchable passion to do good took her halfway around the world. Inspired by her dream to be a missionary, an English parlour maid (Bergman) journeys to China and opens an inn for tired, hungry mule drivers crossing desolate mountain trails. Gradually overcoming the natives' hostility, she wins the heart of a Eurasian colonel (Curt Jurgens) and converts a powerful mandarin (Robert Donat) to Christianity. But her greatest feat is achieved during the Japanese invasion of China when she leads one hundred homeless children to safety across enemy-held terrain.
