Shotaro Kaneda is a timid and mild mannered school boy with a particular gift for manipulating his remote control model aeroplane! Unbeknownst to Shotaro, his father is the enigmatic Professor Kaneda who went missing when he was still only very young. It is his destiny to take charge of Tetsujin 28 and defeat Black Ox thus restoring order to Tokyo and saving the world from annihilation.

Released in time to celebrate its 50th Anniversary - Tetsujin 28 is this year's surprise cult cinema hit. Based on the best-selling post-war manga series, Mitsuteru Yokoyama's "Tetsujin 28" was first published in the monthly magazine, "Shonen" in 1956 and is seen by many as the beginning of the "mecha" or "giant robot" craze, which later spawned Robotech and Transformers.
