This is a rarely seen and underrated Peter Sellers gem.
It's D Day, June 1944. A group of slave workers drafted in by the Nazis to help construct their coastal defences in France run for their lives as the bombing begins and end up trapped in a bunker where they find huge stores of food but not enough candles, as the lights begin to fade so do their hopes of ever being found alive.
Charles Aznavour better known for his singing contributes a wonderful performance in this compelling film.
