    Description

    Release Date: 03 July 2006

4 Classic TV Episodes of The Adventures Of Long John Silver Vol. 1:
    The Necklace
    Pieces Of Eight
    The Orphan's Christmas
    Execution Dock

The Adventures Of Long John Silver was based on the Robert Louis Stevenson pirate character from his novel 'Treasure Island'. Reprieving the title role that he had made very much his own in Disney's first complete live action movie was the incomparable Robert Newton.

4 Classic TV Episodes Of The Adventures Of Long John Silver Vol. 2:
    The Eviction
    The Pink Pearl
    The Tale Of A Tooth
    The Ship 'O The Dead

The setting, once again, was in Portobello on the Spanish Main, where Silver and Hawkins worked for British Governor Strong in order to thwart the advance of the treacherous Spaniards and thereby keep the island safe in the hands of The Crown. There was still time for a little treasure hunting although Silver's favourite way of spending his off-duty hours was in Purity Pinker's Inn, where he could swig away on the local brew.

Long John Silver's Return To Treasure Island:
'Long John Silver's Return To Treasure Island" is the pirate adventure sequel to the classic, "Treasure Island". Long John, Robert Newton reprising his bravura performance as the one-legged buccaneer, saves Jim Hawkins and the Colonial Governor's daughter from the evil Captain Medosa. Naturally, there is more to his rescue plan than meets the eye; Jim has a medallion, which is the key to finding more gold on Treasure Island.

    Captain Kidd:
Charles Laughton (Mutiny On The Bounty, Hobson's Choice) is superb as the cruel, ruthless, Captain Kidd, one of the most notorious pirates to have ever sailed the high seas. Despite his reputation, King William III of England enlists Kidd and his men to safeguard passage of a treasure ship.
