The Maeve Binchy Collection DVD

Maeve Binchy is a revered Irish novelist who sets most of her novels in her homeland. She writes about the tensions between urban and rural life and the contrasts between England and Ireland. This special four disc DVD boxed set contains three films adapted from Binchy's books: The Lilac Bus, Anner House and Echoes.

Anner House is set in Cape Town, South Africa and is the story of Irish Emigre, Ruth who works in a hotel, and Neil, an Irishman struggling to get his life back in order following a bitter divorce and battle with alcohol.

The Lilac Bus tells of the weekly bus, so called because it is painted Lilac, that arrives every Friday evening in the village of Rathdoon from Dublin carrying five local characters who have all reached a crossroads in their lives and how a weekend can change everything.

Echoes brings to life the inhabitants of small-town Castlebay, particular Clare O'Brien who wins a scholarship to university in Dublin and has her live plan sorted out - until she falls in love with David Power, son of Castlebay's doctor.
