College freshman Walter "Gibb" Gibson lives on a sturdy diet of cheese balls, cigarettes and beer for breakfast. On the promise of a "sure thing" (a bikini clad goddess offering guilt free, no strings attached , no questions asked, casual sex) he heads off to his best friend's campus in California for Christmas break. Fellow student and snobbish square Allison Bradbury also plans to spend her meticulously planned Christmas in California with her academic boyfriend. Fate, on the other hand, has plans for both of them, and it's going to be a bumpy ride as they head off to California together.
